I don't know about you lot but I'm sometimes in the frame of mind where I don't want to create anything serious and just want to mess around with my stuff and see what comes out as a result.

I'm not so much of a knob tweaker, but more for sampling songs that I normally wouldn't touch and screwing around with them.

The stupidest things I've done have been sampling a load of random quotes and the music from Fawlty towers and creating some form of dance track and multi sampling various sounds I've recorded of my cats and dogs and playing them.

Anyone else or am alone in this?

I have a couple hundred folders of just random small peices I've done over time. Plenty of them are the most random, stupidiest things I could possibly ever think of doing :P

I have one thats some strongbad samples with a latin bassline and guitar in the background...eww....it didnt sound too good.

i have also a bunch of folders of loops i made that never been used, very techno-ish (a nice way of saying they are random and pretty cheesy hehe)

what cracks me up is i did a dance tune of tetris with my atari st and a yamaha home keyboard at leats 6 month before someone released it into the charts, at the time i was so gutted i was shit at producing and didnt release it first

For example I was awake earily this morning and I decided to make some beats, with a sample voice of my Anatomy and Physiology professor, it came out kinda funky so I decided to use it as my ringtone heh.
