well after playing, refing and coaching hockey for numerous years, i find the actions of both teams disgraceful.
and as far as the refs just standing around, that's exactly what the league told us to do in the event of a major (or minor) fight. stand back, and protect yourself first. when they tire out. then jump in and separate the players.
