Ableton's Eq Three not good enough for dj mixing using a controller

Hey,
I use a midi controller to control Ableton Live's Eq Three during live dj sets. The problem is:

+0 db is at 75% of the knobs, instead of at the center (as in normal dj mixers)

That is pissing me off.

Do you guys use another eq plugin or something for mixing? Which one?

Ideal would be an eq plugin which has +0db at 100% at the knob I think, no?

Generally midi knobs work from 0-127, the middle ground is usually 64. I wonder if there is any way to set the 0db at 64, then it would be in the middle?

Hey tnx,
I have been searching the Ableton Forums too, and did get similar results.

Workarounds on the problem:
1) Use EQ Four instead of EQ Three
2) Use Live's minimum and maximum settings for midi values.

Why they both suck:
1) EQ Four can alter only max. -15 db's at every frequency range, not enough for my purposes. EQ Three can go way beyond -15 db (-infinite db).
2) This is bad, it makes the plugin less versatile (ranges become less).

If only I had this eq plugin where at 50% of the knob the volume would be +0 dB and the minimum cutoff would be -infinite dB

Well, you can't have everything in life I guess
