new trend in rap-pop-hiphop?

Whatever genre it is...
There was this thread in the COR

LL Cool J with w/Jen Lopez and her fat ass Video

Between this and Golddigger (which I never liked), does anyone else see a trend forming in rap-pop? Soft lyrics against soft beats.... or something.

Yes. Ying-Yang Twins - Wait (The Whisper Song) and Juelz Santana - There It Go (The Whistle Song) are other examples.

Ying-Yang Twins - Wait sounds like Snoop Dogg - Drop It Like It's Hot which came out a while ago so i guess this isn't a very very new thing, but just the same..

I noticed that the sampling has become more and more obvious. I just heard a B.E.P song sample that great tune from Pulp Fiction. I threw up a little in my mouth...

is it so hard to creatre original hooks/beats? youre gonna loop em throughout the song anyway and if you really wanna sample so bad at least dont make it so obvious (*cough*kanyewest*cough*)

Yeah wtf is up with her in there now ???????? Pretty much all she does in sing in every chorus of every song and romp her stuff in a scandalous way on the videos.

Good for B.E.P. for making it big like that but seriously I preferred the older less commercial driven stuff which had real flow and a good vibe.
