Hello im looking at buying a micron

Its cheap and will fit nicely in my room, heard it was good on this bord a while back. My question is not specific to the micron but to all synths. Would i be able to use this as a live efx processor with my dj setup.
I could just connect it to the efx loop of a dj mixer and use it live couldnt I? It may not be this but it may be a different synth (depends on money)
Im pretty sure this is possible but i just want to make sure since i have no hardwear.
