Agreed. Reminds me of the credibility of Senator Snowe from Maine - the one who said she will help pursue an investigation into Bush's illegal domestic spying activities, but then turns around and cowers to Senator Robert's and Bush's demand to kill any investigation.

They are either doing that or recounting over and over the tales of young white women who have gone missing.

Then there are the Michael Jackson type stories.

It's all a distraction from what's really going on foisted upon us by the corporate owners of television media to keep us oblivious to what is truly going on.

I find myself rarely watching television at all these days after being an avid viewer as a child growing up.

So? I didn't vote for Bush, but that doesn't mean I have any credibility or can't support him on certain issues?

I agree with O'Connor. Being a gay political activist (sorry to bring in the gay card), I can see where she's coming from. I often read up on certain politicians defaming judges for merely ruling in favor of gay marriage or ruling gay marriage bans unconstitutional. EXAMPLE: Republican Don Dwyer tried to impeach judge M. Brooke Murdock who ruled in favor of same-sex marriage in Maryland. source Thank god the judge didn't get impeached by a 20-3 vote. But WHO THE HELL in their right mind would waste their time as an elected official to try to oust a judge based on that that kind of ruling!?!

Yes how does what she say NOT make sense? Furthermore, the media is a business so therefore it must sell and it has to be compressed and not objective news. Therefore writing a 30 page story is a waste of time.

I agree, the media is mostly about profits, and I really dont have much more respect for much of the U.S. media than I do for the National Enquirer, especially when they beat stories like Rodney King, Scott Peterson & Micheal Jackson to death, when there are much more important events going on.
