How would it be if I used a

one MRD-M501 – 550 Watt Mono Power Amp:

• 550W x 1RMS (2ohm)
• 275W x 1 RMS [4ohm @14.4 V≤ 1% THD+N]
• S/N 60 dBA (Ref: 1W into 4ohm)
• 8 Volt Input • Buffered Pre-Out

to run

two 100w rms - 200w rms rockford T1692C speakers

off an Alpine 9831 deck with the following features:

Preamp Outputs 3 Pair
Continous Power Output 4 x 23Watts
Maximum Power 4 x 50Watts
Preamp Voltage 4Volts

Does the amp have the capability, because I don't feel like the deck is doing the speakers justice. Also if possible I have front speakers that I might like to put off this amp too.

two 4" 2 Way Speakers
Power Handling 50 W RMS, 100 Peak
Frequency Response 75 Hz to 20KHz

don't think you can use a mono amp with two speakers buddy

could be wrong, but i think that would involve lots of wiring, and you'd lose all your 'stereo' sound, ie left and right....

you're better off getting a 2 channell amp, one for each speaker

also that way you don't need as much power

Those mono amps are used pretty much for subs which just use a single channell

you really need to get an idea of what you want

powering two 6x9s with a crappyt overpriced mono amp will sound like total garbage.

get yourself the alpine head unit, with V-Drive power, use it to power your 4 internal speakers, and get yourself a Hifonics or other mid grade amplifier to power subwoofers with money you will save.

Or purchase a 4 channel amp to power all 4 of your internal speakers.
