Arrow stucox.co.uk guest mix (mar '06): Shane_Diversions (prog house/breaks)

After a short break at the start of the month, we bring you our only guest mix for March. We present to you: Shane_Diversions.

The Diversions group was started over 9 years ago to try and build an audience for dance music amoung bikers in the motorcycle racing scene (obviously usually associated with heavy metal). From initially doing tents at biker festivals, the group expanded to doing the Zurich Street Parade from 1996 to 2001 when they were spotted and booked to play regularly at Nexus in Holland. A residency at the Pleasuredome in Augsburg, Germany (headlining alongside the likes of Sven Vath, Thomas Schumacher and WESTBAM), regular appearances on Radio 1 in the Czech Republic and their own nights at the Roxy in Prague, with DJs like Trevor Rockliffe, Slacker and Layo & Bushwacka, followed.

Shane has been an instrumental part of Diversions and his achievements with the group have also included playing at a 2 day festival at Prague's Duplex Club with James Zabelia, Jimmy Van M and even Moloko, Moorcheeba and Marylyn Manson on the lineup. This summer a small tour of China and other parts of Asia is planned, plus they have a weekly show on the station Interface Pirate Radio, a popular long-running station with recommendations from DJ Mag among others.

In this guest mix, Shane demostrates his own style - an intelligent creation of deep progressive house, dark, funky grooves and uplifting melodies all wrapped into an awesome ecletic 80 minute package.
