Macintosh Set Recording Software??

I’ve just started Djing and have an a powerbook mac I’d like to record my sets on. Last night I used garage band, but it has a 1999 second recording limit which is really annoying. Can anyone recommend some Mac software to record your set from the computers standard line in? Id prefer not to spend a lot of money (e.g. ableton), and of course, ALL I want to do is record, so a smaller, simpler app would be best. I got Traktor DJ Studio 2 from a friend, but have no clue how to use it – can it do what I want?

Before you all go harking – use google and use the button, I did, and couldn’t find an answer.

Thanks!

DJ DSMALL!

download audacity. it's pretty basic as far as features go, but it's free.

+1

(IMO it's good for recording and minor editing)

ya the time limit on garage band is a pain in the ass. you can upgrade to LOGIC for like 200 bucks and its just like garage band but with more features. audacity is alright for a free program too
