hey how do u use wincue with livesets and what are cue files???

Well it is really really really hard to use. Just bung your livest into winamp, download the cue file and bung that into winamp as well, and a seperate window should open up with the the liveset seperated into tracks.

Cue files are just txt files that contain a list of when each song in the liveset, or album, etc starts and finishes. They can also be used to cut up livesets, to burn into seperate tracks, using fireburner - www.fireburner.com

the really really difficult part sounded quite depressing..

well ne wayz ... i'm off to download wincue (thats the correct plugin right??) and i'll try to bung in the txt files and the liveset...

oh yes.. the extension of the txt files is to be changed or do i have to rename it to something else...

also what name do i give these files i.e.. if the name of the set is pvd_live_mayday_2000.mp3 then does the cue file also have to be pvd_live_mayday_2000.txt (or whatever extension...)

then i saved this as an m3u file and bunged it in wincue... then i bunged the liveset in winamp and attempted to play ... nothing happened..

then wincue window showed me the same goddamn text (as printed above...) and only thing i could play was the actual liveset from the playlist editor window of winamp ....

help...

could someone please send me an exact version of the m3u file that u folks use in wincue because i think that the file is somehow incorrect..

Take what you just posted, copy and paste into notepad. save the file as

filename.cue

open up wincue, find the "import" button. find "filename.cue" and it will work

hey!!! i couldnt find any import option in the wincue???

there's only the open option and that too it supports only m3u extension...

also... do i have the right software?? its wincue ver 1.32 by anders sandvig

Ok, dont change the file extension, keep it as ,cue, and bung both into winamp, drag into it. This should work, but it depends on what version of this winamp plugin you have

I AM AN IDIOT... the plugin i was using was not the one that was required!!!.. hehe.. i should've been using mp3cue and not wincue...

well it all working fine now...



the bunging thing is quite correct...

all i need now are the cue files.... ahhhhhh.... peace!!!
