[melodic trance] Illumin - To Know

Here's a track that I just finished working on for now....Just spun it with my records and it flowed quite well. I'd love to hear any comments and critique, as always, from anyone. Thanks!

Hi
I think when starts monotonic bass its relase a bit to long.Take a better look to your timbres.structure is good, but timbres must be reworked.

good sides:
I like somekind 80's touch to this track(rhytm sounds, and main melo timbre),but as I said need more work with those.
I also like, that melo is memorable.
need deeper view in you spectral analysis.

Greetz

keep going MAN

Wow, many very different sounds here. Nice work on the 303's and reverses also. The only thing I have to say is that because of all the reverb going on it sounds more like someones liveset in a big hall in stead of something that would ge put out on record.

That's all.

kind regards,

CD

Review Latest Track; Charlie Delta - Then The Days Where Long

Music is as universal to people as breathing. We've probably been at it since before we even started talking. Immaging two cavemen smashing away at a peace of flint to make a spearhead. It wouldn't take long for them to learn te synchronise the sound. And there you have it, the words first percussive band.

Music has survived wars, famines, the plague and many other things and has evolved with man across many cultures. Dance music is just the next step in the evolutionary chain. My guess is that it will probably be with us untill we are extinced.

I like this, the lead is simple but it fits the track well. A little too much reverb on the snare and clap.
While the acid bassline is very nice, it could use some variation in the pattern. I feel like there needs to be some 16th note hats to complement the off beat open hat.
Keep working on it, sounds pretty good so far.

Thanks Eldritch for the comments, and I'm glad that you liked it. I almost forgot to check back on this. I'm actually reworking the mixdown a little, and doing some minor revisions on the sub since I've noticed it becoming somewhat overpowering on the loud system especially with it's basic kick bass kick bass pattern. I might try some variation as you had mentioned with the acidy bassline and hats as well while I'm at it. Thanks again.

Any more comments would be great....thanks!
