i have to go to court tommorow, and since its my first time i wanted to know what clothes i should wear. i know it has to be formal, but what to they expect?
also, any other tips...
btw. case is for ticket which i dont deserve, or else i wouldnt have faught it.

its a ticket... just go in normal nice clothes dont go all dressed up....
cop prob. wont show up and if u didnt desrver it, u wont need a suit to fight the ticket.

if its traffic court you don't have to wear a suit...just a nice shirt. most of the other people in there are going to look trashy and like shit, so you'll be fine.

Seconded. Just show up looking nice, as it conveys respect. Or so they would have you believe. Our courthouse recently put up a sign about wearing shorts and other "inappropriate" clothing. Hickville FTW?! I suppose that eliminates wife beaters with mustard stains. How sad.

I think it's ridiculous how you see all these heroin junkies accused of robbery stumbling into court wearing a suit. They've clearly never worn a suit before in their life and they just look fucking awful.
As for your question, just wear neutral colours, smart shoes, steer clear of jeans obviously. Suits are fine but not essential.
