just curius-for anyone that went to both events, what was the better of the two?

A mater of opinion. Two different things. The friends that I went with to Global Gatherings liked Ultra better by far. I liked GG but its concept its different, the Rides and Atractions combined with Rock and some electronic music and all the bacardi girls. Ultra was for the hearing oriented and crazyness of thousands of people going nuts to their DJ's. I had a lot more fun @ Ultra, obviously because there was quality music almost everywhere you go to, the vibe its just great heh, and had DJ's to choose, while in GG you were basically stuck in 1 tent or hang outside or Downtown stage which was only good with Edgar, Sasha&Digweed and Armin+ Ferry.

So if you ask me, there's 2 festivals at one given day, Id chose Ultra, just because its all electronic music. But if they were on different days I go both.

They whole layout of ultra was amazing, they were the screens were, everything visual was off the hook. With that i pretty much hated everything about it. The sound system in the house tent was just bass. no mids or highs....just VERY LOUD bass. toooooooo loud. i would probably not go to UMF again. Did it once. ohhh that and the crowds. There was no room for anything.
