Mike, I'm assuming you want to know for next year's prep. I didn't go this year, but last year, I split a room with Christina, and I'd guess we spent about $1000-1500 each between Tuesday night arrival (and Meganite that night) and Sunday departure. We didn't go out to a big party every night (skipped Wednesday AND Thursday NIGHT at big parties, not pool parties during the day and not EVERYTHING those nights) because we didn't have pre-sold tix and weren't paying $50-80+ for events that we weren't sold enough on in advance to buy. We also didn't buy any supplements down there, though I'm not sure if that's a consideration for you. You do know us and how we drink, so you can also factor that in. Most places had expensive drinks, so we split a case of Red Bull and 2 handles of Stoli pre-partying.
Bottom line, save and go next year, but plan ahead and use your industry connections for comps and other VIP perks. Hell, it's a year away, try to get gigs opening for guys you know from NYC and write the whole trip off on taxes, plus get lots of freebies.

$1000-1500 was gonna be my range to save up for. Getting gigs. Will be interesting. Who knows. Getting a record released with a friend. Maybe I might be popular enough by then to get a gig

This year was great, and it sure was worth the price. This year the cost was around $2600 for my girl and I. The thing that pissed me off was the resturants, because they charge 27% in taxes. It is 9% for Southbeach Taxes and on top of that, all the resturants add on top of the prices a 18% gratuity tax. I met a lot of cool ass people in Miami and these 3 people came with my girl and I.
All five of us at a sandwich, and had 1 drink.
5 Sandwiches & 5 Drinks = $149.00?
(4 Burgers, 1 Cuban) ( 1 Black Russian, 1 Vodka, 3 Mixed Drinks)
Good advice for anyone who plans on going next year.
Buy a badge, Get your friends to save up money, and run a hotel together, rent a car if possible (fill up on water, and food) and you will do just fine. This year badge holders were able to get into most major events at the local clubs for free. If you went to about 6 events, the badge pays for its self.
