Phatt Bass (Blade Theme) - Iced Remake

Hey people

yes another new track and my last one for a while. Got a couple of projects to do which include soundtrack to a dvd and also starting work on the track for the feature length film so thought I would leave you all with a little bit of a present. I've always loved the warp brothers music and always loved the blade theme so it was time to put the 2 of them together. With the vocals of the warp brothers from phatt bass who done the original blade theme as well as another version I thought it was time for me to make my own version. With a thumping kick, 100% addictive techno straight in your face. This is one hell of an addictive track.

Enjoy

Martin

not bad not bad.

i like the acid you introduce at 0.33 but it doesn't remind me of the acid from blade theme. try to make the it more prominent. i would give some more tone variation to it. when i remember right, the acid sound from blade has a short decay, the cuttof is almost opened. and there's much more low and mid frequencies.

at the moment your bass sounds pretty mashed up. and your kick gets swallowed by the bass somehow.
if you want to make it banging you should use a moresolid kick, maybe decrease the volume of bassline a bit.

what can i say, actualy you have made a good track here, but you kinda ruined it with your mastering.

you should realy go on working with this, primary the mastering.

cheers, nik.

Phat Bass != Blade Theme

Blade Theme = New Order - Confusion (Pump Panel Reconstruction)

Downloading now, though.

(2 hours to go?!)

the TB style synths are too loud and the kick is no where near loud enough nor do i think it's the right sounding kick.

The track doesnt drive enough for me, especially for the sounds you've used. Improving the kick and loops you've used should improve that though

Review

Intro - not liking them vocals... tb303's are ok and pads are dark but its missing sumthing this... more elements perhaps? phatter percussion? bass is nice, bout 1:35ish too much with the tb's, getting a bit repedative here.

Breakdown - Not much effects used, not much going on at all here, this area needs alot of work.

Outro/Other - Still repedative here, more elements as mentioned above...

Conclusion/Other - Ino u dont have much to play with on the new order remix but imo alot more could be done, good attempt tho

Didn't like the Warp Brothers' remix of Confusion, and this track doesn't seem to remind me of the Original at all, only the vocals come from the Warp Brothers Version ...
The acid used in this one doesn't have the balls the original had.
