again a quality track from you, niklas!
i really enjoy listening to your productions...
cant say much more! it's good as it is...maybe just decrease the volume of the mids...imo a bit too loud...

sounds fast!

well balanced sound. kick seams nice and punchy.

mini break - really nice pads.

more build up.. this is nice! emotional. enjoyable sound you have created.

my foot tapps these are really nice melodies your introducing.

break - this sounds good. main lead is good. love it when it steps up an octave.. nice melody

kick comes back - this is really good. quite generic 'icone' style trance. but with a melody to die for.

maybe change some of the percs for less standard sounds to spice it up a bit..

good work

rich

very nice from the start

kick is quailty as usual in your tracks, percs are good just need some variation on them

nice bass although i agree about the mid levels needing reduced.

synths are nice and trancy

melodies are my kind of melodies love that sound you create, very dreamy, i could float away listening to your tracks

good sounding after the breakdown them melodies are really strong and emphasised.

as usual your work has put a smile on my face

keep it up, always love listening to your tracks

Kane

Hey mate,

Again a superb track of yours. I was thinking during the leadsection, pleaseee vary the basssection more and right at that moment you did just that. For the rest this is an amazing track :

superb build up, the melody has a great hook, the breakdown is great. The track reminds me a bit of oldschool trance with a bit of a Robert Nickson flavour on top of it.

There is only one point you need to work on : mastering. The track needs more clarity and a warmer sound.

Cheers on this excellent track!

Need to cut out those few second of silence in the beginning on your master.

First breakdown felt kinda unnecessary.

I liked that descending effect at 2:51.

I gotta say, not really my style, but it was good nonetheless. Keep it up.

Not bad at all, on the whole your production's good, particularly the synths. Pads usually really show an amateur producer up as they're very hard to get right, but you've done them really well - good work on that.

My one criticism I think would be that your perc all (or most of it at least) seems to be panned to centre and a bit quiet, making it sound a bit flat and lifeless... personally I'm a fan of being able to hear perc through the synths etc in a track, some more prominently and some less.

Might be worth looking at adding some more sweep sounds / sound fx too to make the texture of the music a bit more interesting.

6/10 - just about of signable quality but making the whole track stand out more would definately help.

(Mark scale: 0 Give Up, 1-3 Gonna take some more work, 4-5 Nearly there, 6-8 Signable, 9-10 Outstanding)

Nice track I found it to really roll along, very smooth all the way through.

I agree with thoughtlessjex on the awesome descending effect at 2:51. Excellent build up in to lead melody 4:13 also. Quality.

thanks guys, your words realy motivate me to go on working

@at Lars: thanks for listening mate. you mentoined the mid levels, i will pay special attention on them whilst the next dubbing.

@ Richard: yo mate, thanks for the kind words, makes me smile. im not sure what you mean with 'Icone' style trance but i guess its good. more often than not i put the main focus on the melody. the percussions are very standart and quite monotone indeed, i will give them a shot and do some rework.

@ Barry: heya barry, big thanks for your feedback, feels great.
it has been mentoined a few times that there are to much mids in the overall sound. i will try to adjust my ear once again and i will listen to it on a different hi-fi system. maybe i can figure it out.

@ Nomen Nescio: thanks for listening mate. im not sure what you mean with 'warmer' sound. i realy tried to give this a more pro sounding appearance. this was the first time i did all the effects with waves plugins. by doing that i hoped to get a more clean and vintage sound. seems that it didn't worked so well.
i will try to isolate the specific sounds a bit more whilst the next dubbing.

@ Thoughtlessjex: thanks for feedback mate. i will cut out the first seconds of the mastering. thats a problem i can accomplish.

@ Stu Cox: thanks for the feedback and the overall rating. its mentoined often that my percussion work has a thin, lifeless and standart sounding. percussions realy do me headaches sometimes but i'm working on that. next time i will do some panning and detail separation on them. maybe it works.

@ B.E.: thanks for feedback mate.

what i have to say generaly about the mastering is that im still producing with my notebooks onboard soundcard. thats a pretty fucked up thing. it might be that my soundcard mashes up the sound a bit. it also might be that my ears have been suffering a bit to much during the last years:P
in any case i will buy a better soundcard in the next time.
and i will come up with an improved mastering for this tune.

cheers, niklas.

Yes comments anymore.

This kick is really nice, so punchy, so full. Nice use of compression you did there mate.
The rest of the percussions are weak, for the hats I'd fatten them up with some compression and maybe a bit of white noise on them.
I like the melodies in the breakdown, but I think the strings are extremely rich on the low frequency field, I'd tome down those low frequencies, yeah, you might be looking for a warm sound which is nice, but nothing beats a track with a balance between warm and crispiness, so everything that is not the kick and the bassline I tone down the 180 Hz and bellow. This would improve the overall sound greatly in your track.

To add spirit to those strings again, I'd boost on the Mid High frequencies 1 Db (3 Khz to 5Khz) on the strings and Leads.

Percussions need to be compressed and recover what is lost from that compression with gain, the track will sound much more alive this way IMO.

Melody wise I like it, so you just gotta work to improve on the overall sound.

Cheers mate.

Honestly I don't have any issues with the sound.. I kind of like how it is just now personally, very warm.

The bottom line is I love this, I find it nostalgic, melodic, overall very nice.

I have no criticism that hasn't been said already, so good job!
