Upgrading Fl without headaches?

When i upgrade fruity i always have to copy and paste the old files into the new one, just because i want my packs where i want them and the projects in the fl window and to make everything works smooth and without migraine. Is there a good way to upgrade without the copy and pasting of old files?

You could always save the files you work on in a directory other than in the FL Studio directory itself.

That way you're be able to link to that folder each time you set up your new FLS and you won't have to do any copy-pasting.
