Gabriel and Dresden @ Eleven50 Review

Well.....G&D rocked it again!!!

Great track selection by the duo, lots of new vocal tracks from their new album, only thing missing the whole night was "Without You Near". Mixing was great and audio skipped a couple times (or maybe a trick by Dave)

Overall a great night out, I haven't been out for ages!!! I need to come out of my cage more

Great seeing my buddy, Trey (mistiso) and his friends, also good to see AlokGT hanging out

Tracklist (Not in order):
-Armin and G&D- Zocalo
-Ozgur can- changed (G&D Remix)
-Andian- Beautiful Things (G&D Remix)
-Motocycle- Around You (some mix that I dunno)
-Coldplay- White Shadows (G&D Remix)
-Rachel Starr- Till there was you (G&D's 12 Step Program)
-Rex The Dog - Prototype (M.A.N.D.Y. Remix)
-Deep Dish feat. Stevie Nicks - Dreams (Axwell Remix)
-Gustavo Santaolalla - The Wings (Brokeback Mountain Theme) (Gabriel & Dresden Remix)

Encore:
Gabriel & Dresden ft. Molly - Tracking Treasure Down (Gabriel & Dresden Club Mix)

Hah, the night was in one word....epic.

But I know all you fad whores won't give a shit. Piss off then

Jack. Jack. Jack. Just like old times man. Times like tonight remind me of why you'll always be one of my closest friends.

Brandon.....great reviews by all (including the two DJ Mag guys - read below). You know what I'm talking about. Definitely wish you could have been there to rock it out with us!

Josh and Dave rocked the fucking house. On point from the beginning. I think they were putting on such a good show because...

DJ Mag was in the house! Not only that, but I met up with them, Josh, and Dave before the set. About an hour into the set, the DJ Mag guys come get me and tell me to follow them. They did a video interview of me that will be on djmag.com in the coming weeks.

This little 15 minutes of fame, along with making good friends with the DJ Mag guys, allowed me to get invited to the after party. More good times. Met a ton of great people from all over the country. Had great conversation with Dave about music, listened to Josh spin a sick set that seemed to consist of mainly Holden & Ozgur Can. Wicked.

Decided to call it a night around 8am. First time I'd been out like this in a while. Well worth it.

Other tunes...

Depeche Mode - Here Is The House (G&D Remix)
Bigtop - Tidal (OMFG - bangin' tune!)
(Was hoping they'd do the mashup they did in Nashville with The Killers - Mr. Brightside....unfortunately not)
Noir - My MTV (D Ramierz Remix)
Retrobyte - Going Down (track produced in Atlanta, signed on G&D's Organized Nature label)
Bloc Party - 2 More Years (Junior Sanchez Remix)
Gabriel & Dresden - Light The Fire
Gabriel & Dresden - Dust in the Wind
Gabriel & Dresden - Eleven
Gabriel & Dresden - Sydney
(Jack, this is the one that sounded like "Around You". From what I hear Around You will ever get release. Motorcycle is no more - unfortunately).

I had a good time. Everyone there was definetly feeling it. I really don't know how I feel yet about this new album yet. Nothing will ever top the set that the played here last summer. I guess I go in expecting way to much. I would have just liked them to bang it out a little more. I guess I'll just have to wait for Junkie

Indeed.

"Going Down" is an amazing tune! Retrobyte has some talent!

Talked to Jay after the show. I had no idea he worked on the production. I was thinking it was a G&D production at first.

Awesome work

Its sonar energy is derived from geometric power and nuclear fusion, seeing that the remaining fossil energy reserves have been allocated exclusively to vinyl production by decree of World Government.
