[Trance] DJ Lindo - Falling Back [128kbps]

Hello everyone. Time for a new track. This one has been sitting on my HD for a little bit and I decided to fix it up a bit. Here's the final version I believe, but I'm thinking about extending it a little bit. Enjoy!

Listening now.
0:20. Intro is really short. This would be hard for me to mix into a good set with only 8 bars of beats before the track comes in. Nice bass.
0:30. I'm not sure I like that phaser thing you've got going on... it kinda detracts my attention from the rest of the track, which is sounding pretty good. The cymbals sound like they're lacking quality, but that could just be the MP3.
1:06. Sounds like something dischorded just happened to the melody. You can't get away with this with that big bassline that occupies a lot of upper frequencies. Hmmmm...
1:40. Sounds good. I'd prefer a full breakdown, but I guess this is kinda like a "radio edit" or something?
2:10. Is this the climax? It's not bad, but it sounds kinda 1999-ish. It needs a counter-melody or something to make it more interesting.
2:37. That squarewave-type thing. It's nice, but the melody it follows does not agree with the rest of the song. Work on the counterpoint a little. Where was this during the breakdown? It just kinda comes in late in the track and sticks with the song until its demise...

Well... that was way too short. I can't play this in a set. It's a solid track, minus a few melodic issues. Percussion seems fine; nothing too special but it works. You've done a good job with the levels and mastering. I'd still like to hear a full version.

kick is nice although i agree about the bass coming in too soon. give it at least 40 secs.

like the flow of it. maybe take the flangers out and use them a bit later i the track.

melodies are nice. not too complicated just sit nice in the mix. would probably add some pads or strings in myself in a breakdown.

although you've made a good start.

ps. contact me about the collab

EDIT: Good start enough mixing time (for me anyway). like your use of efx. 1:23 this is sounding much better. really uplifting feel im getting of it.

flanger is used better here, just where i would have used it.

breakdown is nice like the melodic structure. it sounds good although i still think you could improve the breakdown. at the minute listening i would play it in the bedroom but with a bit of a more euphoric breakdown id play it in a club.

sounding much better than before.

keep it up!

that bass melody comes in too soon mate and out of no where. Have a sweep just bfore it comes in.

Very techno sounding to start with. Dont like that off stab techno sound. nice melody that comes in.

break comes in too sudenly. nice though and i love that riff. Dont like that sound that comes in also with that riff, sounds like it belongs on a commodor game.

good overall, but needs tweaked.
