far more kicking now.

like the dark feel to it. sorry takkra but i think this remix is better than the original.

you've expanded your surround sound which shows and you aren't relying on the percs to push the track.

pad is nice the way it sits in the background. breakdown is awesome love the bass synth.

you've turned a track which isn't yours into yours.

good work mate, very original richard gale work here.

kane

thankx barry

however i have to say that i have only used two parts that were not in the original. and this is the pad. and the bass synth at the beginning.

everything else is takkras samples but with some eq and effects on them.

i have to say that this is more of a re arrange with some tweeking here and there.. and most of the credit should go to takkra for his awsome original. - ps. i didnt do any eq or efx to your piano. apart from timestretch here and there..

all i hope is that takkra loves it as much as i enjoyed playing with his track!

cheers mate

Hey,
commenting as I listen.
strange intro, I dont really like that ringmod sound.
Kick is very nice.
Heavy bass, maybe a little lower and less distorted would sound nice.
Percussion is detailed, I like it. The closed hihat is not so good though, seems a little thin.
2:16 - nice deep synth. Again I think it would profit if there was less intereference with the bass.
3:00 - nice breakdown, came a little unexpected. Maybe again getting a little heavy in the low end here.
4:00 - nice melodies with good strings. I like the atmosphere here.
I like the small break a lot. Nice piano, too bad its so hardly audible.

Good atmosphere and melodies in this track. A little better leveling would be nice. Keep it up

Love that big kick rich, and that bassline is great..nice percussions coming in - like the hats and the droning sound..like the pads at the breakdown - reminds me of that man MIKE again with his 'gift' alias hehe...really like the pianos coming in near the end...i feel you should let those pads take off and go much louder for a climax..

more good stuff from you mate!

adam

i dont like that "hissing" Going on dude... it doesnt sound to.. jolly to my ears .

the bassline sounds like its "laggin" to me , though i like the rolling sub one .

i like all the strings you have in hear really a nice effect!

hmm after that nice break it seems to take a while for the melody to get going, thats a shame.
now the bass doesnt seem to be "laggin" anymore.. must have been a brain ghost .
i dont like that you dont use the melody while the kick is going but you worked around it well!

everyone seems to like this more, but i don't
The kick is just too strong. The floggy kick overshadows any melodic variation. Also the wavetable type bass is too distinctive to stay fresh.
The pad is nice and drifty at 3:57.
I think at 4:17 i start to hear the dark, rumbly cannon-canyon thing you are probably going for. But that's going to be hard to hit without sounding muddy . . .
You can do it! But I don't think you quite nailed it yet.
I like the dancing, scattered percussion and hats.
Some of the levels here are uneven though.

Hey!!

Nice techy beginning, the beat is pretty fat!! The bass is cool also... Really nice chord progression at 2:30, sounds promising... The bassline is groovy. You could still try to write a strong main melody on top of all, and it would be really good!!! Nothing to complain, a really nice remix!!

Cheers, Lakeus

Heh, weird thing in the intro.

Bass doesn't seem driving enough, IMO.

When the melody comes in, it's pretty nifty, even if the break is a bit sudden.

The low end starts getting really muddy with the echoey drum thing.

thanks guys

i agree about it being a shame the melody isnt used in the main part. and i think the piano could be turned up a bit.. thanks for the good and bad points guys

maybe the man behind the original could say what he thinks?

rich
