I have the Vsynth XT, and it is amazing! I have only played with Andromeda a bit in the store so I really can't compare them for you, but it also depends what you are looking for. The XT you can load your own samples and do some amazing things with them, where the Andromeda is a true analog synth with no sampling as far as I know.

Know that although the XT is 16 part multi timbral, you can only edit the patch on channel 1 via the touch screen LCD and the effects are global. I am not sure how the Andromeda handles that, but with 16 voices I'd expect you can't use too many parts at once anyway.

I think you'll need a bit more than $800, unless you mean you already have $1200 saved up.

I agree, I made sure I had a virus first, and I find that I use that more often. The V-Synth can make some crazy sounds that the TI cannot though, so I do find it very useful. I have alot to learn with it though.

They're two different synths...

One is an analogue synth, and a damn good one at that.

The V-Synth doesn't really hold a candle, but if you need ANOTHER VA synth go for it...

Hmm..about the V-Synth..doesnt it have Supersaw?..if so..would it be worth just getting that synth instead of the JP8080?..besides the price of course :P

Same engine, updated code.. meaning it is NOT the same supersaw as the JP's supersaw (whether it's better or not is a matter of opinion I guess).

A6 any day of the week, and twice on Sunday..

UNLESS you don't have much gear already, in which case use the $2k You're gonna spend and buy a whole collection of cool, if smaller oys. Ultimately you will get better results..
