Approaching different labels

Okay....... So I feel like I am getting to the point in my music production and songwriting that I would like to start approaching labels to get my stuff published. Where do I start? What are some pitfalls that I should watch out for. What kind of people should I talk to.

Basically my question is what do I have to do to get signed provided the musical talent and danceability of the tracks is there?

Any feedback is gratefully appreciated. Cheers to all.

ehh...

Sorry I can't help, I've got the same question. Minus the songwriting and danceability.
