Ok folks. Here we go. It's been a wee bit since I've posted a production of my own.
I decided to get back to my "roots' as it were, and I produced myself a little classic, melodic, cheesy trance ditty. It's not my usual material. So take it with a grain of salt.

It's full 320Kbps because for once not only did I take the effort to try to really mix my track, but to also master it. So I want to kind of show that off in a sense. Although it is open to opinions. There are parts of the track where certain elements get subtly LOST, but it's just barely lost, honestly that's something that would be done in another master/mix BUT since this track is definitely DONE. I'm not going to bother with it. I'm thinking it's a little too heavy on the low end, it sounds good on plenty of systems (i tested it for transparency on other systems) BUT if you have poor speakers, if the volume is up too much your speakers might complain a bit.

So without further prattling.

good song, however it sounds like your bass lacks some frequencies, try to eq it, i think it is 200hz that gives your bass pump, otherwise it sounds like its clipping a bit, i think you sidechained your kick n bass, but overdid something somewhere.. in other words it sounds like it overlaps on the top of each other in the lower end of sound spectrum.

Yea. My low end still needs some mixing attention on this track. I actually tried to keep my bassline out of the way of my kick with mixing... it's better than normal, but your right. still abit of arguing between them

ur bass needs some mixing attention, maybe lower the volume or someting.. percs creates drive.. the track itself sounds a bit "old" like it would have been made 10 years ago or something.. i like the simplicity of the melody..

pretty nice track, but my Alesis monitors doesnt like the bass..

Very old school.
Possibly lacking in interesting elements as the tune itself does not carry the track well enough to make it interesting.

When you bring in the lead synth it sounds a bit too Euro Disco to me.

As stated you need to sort out the bass frequencies.

Keep them coming though as there are a lot of positive points about this track as it has good overall structure and has some nice ideas.

here we go... commenting as I listen...
Bass is quite heavy on the sub. Very deep, but I can hear no distortions yet. Ok, but it might provide some clarity to the track if the low area wasnt that... um.. low.
1:00 ... nice percs now. Good drive to the track now.
Strange melody line. Kinda happy. Track still flows quite well.
3:10 ... some kind of breakdown. The clap alone sounds a little cheap. Might get a little harder attack with a compressor.
4:00 is indeed very oldschool. I have not really gotten into that melody.
Pad in the background coming in now is really great though. Adds a lot to the track.
You might consider adding atmospheric background layers like that earlier (during the breakdown e.g.).
Second breakdown doesnt bring anything new. Some more changes towards the end?

I like the track. It has a good drive. Very effective oldschool stuff. Keep it up!

Rather than add frequencies to the bass, I think you should take some away. Try a low pass filter and set it low enough to keep the volume high but the tone under control. Then compress it so that each note will be clear and punchy. I use Waves comp with an attack of about 8.75 release 100 milisecs and raise the output to give it a slight click, that will make it sound as if you added high freqs when you actually just made it crisper. I hope that makes sense...

Also, I am a delay addict, so I would add at least a little to just about all your sounds except percs. On the bass set the fliter so that only the higher end will delay, makes for some cool machine gun bass if you set the delay rhythm right.
