This is a dance-music board and most, if not all of us, enjoy going out and partying. But nightlife varies by region, and not all places are alike.

What, in your opinion, are the hottest destinations for nightlife? whether it be mega-nightclubs, pubs, bars, strip clubs, festivals, and parties?

Also, an interesting fact: In Europe, most clubbers do not go home until 5-6 AM, and clubs never stop serving alcohol. But did you know that in the city LA, the famed American party capital, all clubs and bars close at 2 am? Did you know that in Toronto, an equally hot trance/party spot, bars also close at 2 am?

Puerto Rico has an insane night life.

But it's not all electronica, our scene is still growing there. (the big genre seems to be Drum&Bass, though)

anywayz, PR is awesome........ you can find an open bar on any night with some solid entry fee (like $5 entry fee for a 3 hr open bar.....wo0t!)

plus the women there are unmatchable

NYC, SF, Miami -- more like it. And bars/clubs out there stay open till the crack of dawn.

They stop serving alcohol at 2am, but the clubs stay open. We have a massive after hours scene here.

Same for LA. But they open up again at 6am. I love getting a few drinks for the road

Vegas is cool 'cause you can drink anywhere at any hour of the day, but it's a little too touristy for my tastes.

Wisconsin sucks for nightlife, but Chicago is only 1.5 hours away so i usually go there. bartime on is 4am on Friday nights and 5am on Saturday nights, so i can usually get a decent night of partying in before i drive home in the morning.

NYC is great because you have so much variety to choose from in such a small area. i've been to plenty of great bars in NY but never any clubs. i always try to make it out to the clubs in NY whenever i'm in town but something always gets in the way... maybe next time.

Miami i've only visited during WMC and it was crazy. the clubs i went to were very cool but the service sucked and i didn't care for the rockstar attitude everyone seemed to have. it's probably unfair to judge it based entirely on WMC week though.

there's lots of cities i haven't partied in yet that i would love to check out - LA, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, NY, etc... and of course i'd love to experience the nightlife in many European cities, i've heard it's a completely different world than American nightlife.

When i went to PR i met this really hot chick at a club. We danced & had a great time. We went back to my room & the next thing i remember is waking up in the bathtup. It was filled with ice, the girl was gone & i was missing a kidney.

Same thing happened to me. Except replace hot chick with asain ladyboy and PR with Barstow.

You are a little bit wrong; first of all, SF also shuts down at 2 am, just like the entire state of California:

Secondly, NYC is currently considering measures to make "last call" earlier, at 2 am:
