If you were to get a rotary which one would you choose? I have narrowed it to the rane or the A&H due to price, but if there are other suggestions please tell me (with reason).

it's not a huge difference in price. the rane is about 1700 with eq and the xone is 1600.

If I didn't have to think about space, and easy for access I'd say Rane. But you have to think about those things.
You can get the Rane MP + XP for $1500 if you wheel and deal. I've bought two from Platinum Records. The first for $1500, and then the second for $1400 but that was after it was discontinued.
Call them up and make them an offer. They're great to work with.
You might want to think about the DJM-800. It's like Pioneer took to good aspects of the DJM-600 and the A&H and combined them. And there's a rotary kit, or will be. I just sold a 2016 (had 2) to get the DJM-800. While I still like the Rane better, I like the DJM more than the A&H. A number of DJs in Seattle feel the same way.
But don't worry too much honestly. At this level you will be happy with either. And when you buy top of the line you can always resell it on eBay for top $. People will always desire these hi-end mixers. Think of it as a $200 decision, not a $1800. Cause $200 is all you will lose should you have to dump it on eBay. :-)
Cheers!
Keith
