and why is it messing with my computer's startup/shutdown?

whatever it is is preventing me from opening daemon tools as well and is related to disc drives...

its driving me nuts!

also- does anyone know how i can stop all these processes under the ctrl-alt-delete bar from starting? i dont knwo what 1/2 of them are but i know i dont need them.

you could try run-msconfig-startup

done but the dla thing is still giving me issues
