What cable do i need to go from phono (in mixer) to a laptop? In order to record?

To go from rca to usb you need an interface. A soundcard.
The obviouse reason is that rca is an anolouge signal and the usb is a digital signal.

As previously said, phono to jack. More specifically phono to 3.5mm jack. The female is the hole, and, well the male plugs into it. Hence the male/female term.
