PHP is a web authoring server-side programming language and as such not something you can "encode" into. If you're having trouble figuring out how to program in PHP in general I'd suggest you follow a tutorial such as those at webmonkey.com.
If you have some kind of specific query go for a newsgroup like comp.lang.php there's bunch of experts there who would love to help you out.

I've been involved in the development of a distributed database search engine which used a little php, but I'm really not experienced in the field, so I can't help you anymore than giving you pointers. Hopefully someone else will step in?
