Guess I made it nice and clear in the subject. No flames please
For those of you that are interested, this is my remix for the Fort Minor competition. I pretty much did a complete rehaul of the track, only keeping the a capella and some very few aspects of the original (string pattern, but redid it, a hat sample, and something else I can't remember right now).
Well for one i HATE HIP-HOP, but here it goes ill have a listen.
You wont get many reply's for stuff liek this mate.
Nice Intro. I like the guitar sound in their, goes well, makes it different - Makes me think of that band though, american one that used real drums and guitar for their hip-hop sound. Vocals are a tad to loud for me. Good mix down. Kick could do with more boom and depth.
Good track though.

awsome tune man, i love it.
to me good music is good musc, f*ck genre...and don't let anyone tell u other wise.
could use a bit more punch on the kick, sounds a tab too low freq...and vocals are too loud.
awsome man , i love it.
i love the voice manipulations....and all the tripped out shit you pulled off in the end gave me chills!
good overall production even though i dont like rap....

Haha, I know, but I appreciate your openmindedness for giving it a chance and listening. You'll be seeing me post all sorts of stuff (DnB, hip hop, ambient). We all need to take a break from trance sometimes!
Yea, I noticed the vox being too loud too but I only had half an hour before I had to turn the mp3 in for the competition! Oh well, hope it doesn't hurt me too much.
Pro sounding stuff, I'm another one who hates rap music, so it's probably wasted on me But I listened to it knowing its from a trane producer, which was cool.
If it went through a pro mastering studio I wouldn't think anything of it if it came on the radio at work , good work man. Always cool to try different genres, I know you've done dnb as well. Means you aren't a one trick pony.

I don't listen to much hip-hop either. I don't like most hip-hop either... but I take exceptions from time to time...
Nice remix.
I like the phatness of the track. THe kick does seem a tad weak for the genre. Otherwise, the guitar makes me think of Linkin Park.
Good... Where you get the guitar? You play?

Funny you say that... that's the sort of vibe I was actually going for, since the rapper on the track is the same one from Linkin Park.
I do play the guitar but don't have means of recording one... so I got a buddy who plays guitar to record me a sample.
Hmm... never realized the kick was weak... wish i posted this here before the remix was due! haha, o well, thanks for the comments, guys I promise you i'll post trance soon, lol
