So last night was the airing of the first episode of season 8 of Top Gear, THE BEST SHOW EVER. Who has seen it so far? It can be had at Finalgear.com.

The home-made convertible Espace was AWESOME. Watching them run it through that carwash is right up there with my favourite show moments ever.
The Top Gear Dog, what? What a dumb gimmick this one is. The dog does nothing! I hope they teach her to drive a car later on in the series.
The Well-Spoken Man - who the hell is he? My theory is that he is eithe the current Stig, or a previous Stig. You may say "that can't be, he didn't take the Lacetti around the track quick enough." I think that's part of their silly plan, as the entire thing is clearly staged. Nobody else bothered to ask about the man.
{edit} Nevermind, a bit of sleuthing reveals that it's James Hewitt, who was Princess Diana's former lover.
The Koenigsegg CCX. Goddamn. Also quadruple-goddamn when The Stig wiped it out!
ME HUNGRY

Serious...I have not actually seen this yet.
I do how ever have seasons 1-7 now . Yeah thats right, i got the 25gig torrent!
Cale I'm confused though. I always thought that Top Gear started with Tiff doing the driving and others adding their own bits. When I started watching season 1, there was no Tiff, just the fat dude, the small guy and the girl with their new 'flashy' format.
I know that Tiff also does 'Fifth Gear', so whats the deal with those earlier works? The famous Mcl F1 test, and so on.
EDIT: Crashing a Koenigsegg CCX is not cool at all. The owner must have cried his eyes out. I wonder what their (the show) insurance policy costs for these tests.

Top Gear started back in '89 I believe, but had a hiatus as Clarkson quit in '96 or somewhere around there with Tiff filling the void. I think. I'm not 100% sure so don't take this as fact.
Clarkson then came back, and Tiff went to do Fifth Gear.
I think.
Also, I wish I were The Stig.

I would LOVE those. I've recently deleted all my previous Top Gear episodes to make way for the new stuff.
I really need another harddrive.

It was the first time he's ever lost complete control of a car.
Also, Koenisgegg has taken the car back, will repair it, throw a spoiler on the rear to give that 806bhp monster some downforce on the rear wheels. The Stig reckoned that he could do the lap in 1:16 or so, completely smashing the Zonda F's record of 1:18.0.
