To be honest, if you actually want to mix with these turnatables, then they're not worth the time and money. Belt driven decks really are a no-no for DJ decks. You'll be able to learn the basics on them, yes, but after about two weeks you'll have outgrown them and you'll need direct drive to progress any further.
If you really do want to become a DJ (if you do, then you'll know what I mean) then it really *is* worth saving and waiting until you can afford to buy some Technics. Don't be afraid of buying second-hand Technics - as long as the platter still goes round, then they're perfect. Technics don't wear out.
