[Review] Markus Schulz and Matthew Dekay @ Spundae
After I sold my Tiesto Ticket I was off To Spundae to see Markus and Matthew.
Just looking at the line and the issues getting in Spundae was going to be the palce to be Saturday night....
And It was.
Kris and I get to Spundae a little after 9:40 and had no issues getting in. Spundae did start off Really slow that night since people wanted to wait 2+ hrs to get in to a under crowed no room too dance Tiesto event.
On the Decks was Gil La. Gil is known for his hard enegry sets but with the line up he played a more mellow but Great opening set. I loved the tracks that I heard.
At 10:30 Mark Lewis gets on and I get board to tears. The tracks where not going anywhere with me and then he had to drop SOS(SVD remix) and that was the time Kris and I bolted out the door. That Track serisouly needs to die!!
Matthew Dekay walks in and Kris and I go chat with him in the VIP area. He even made a comment that no one was really danceing and they wheren't. I guess I was not the only one who felt that way.
Matthrew Gets on at 12 and gets the energy back to the dance floor. By this time the dance floor is more packed and now everyone starts to move.
Matthrew Threw down such a Great Set! WOW! I really like his style He looked like he was haveing a ton of Fun up there.
I had to take a quick Break since it was soooo hot on the dance floor so I go upstairs to Ernisto to get some water. While I was up there my friends said hi and told me they where pimpin out with Markus in VIP so I go in and say hello and chat for a bit
A little bit before 2am he goes down stairs and takes over the decks.
His First track was- Your loveing arms(rmeix) I knew right from the get-go he was going to tear Spundae apart and he did just that.
No Matter how hot I was or beat I was from the night before I got a surge of energy and planted myself right in the middle of the dance floor and could not stop dancing. Markus was throwing down some awsome tunage! WHOOOOO HOOOO! Everyone was moveing and having a great time
Then all of a Sudden I hear Air For Life come in(his remix) and go Nutzo. Then I hear the first beat of Rank 1- Airwave Breathing(Breaks dub) and I Scream! I LOVE THIS TRACK. So I did not care that I got wired looks. Then after that was With out you. WOW WOW WOW
Those 3 tracks in a row made my night.
He also played: False Light(his Remix) a MDK track, and With out you near. The music stops and we ask for one more and plays a massive tune. I think he told some one it was a Ferry track not really sure.. But what ever it was it rocked!
I had sooooooo Much Fun at Spundae!!!
Oh for thouse who did not see me at Tiesto.... like I would miss Markus at Spundae or LA for that matter
