GRAND LAUNCH OF NEW TRANCE NIGHT 'EPIC' WITH JOHN KELLY,GOLDENSCAN.........

GRAND LAUNCH NIGHT
FRIDAY 28th APRIL 2006

Epic will represent a new chapter in quality trance nights in the UK. We have secured one of the UK's leading dance music venues, HQ, which is quite simply awesome. We will complement this with the best national and international DJ's playing alongside our residents Paul Kershaw and Caroline Banx.

Room1
John Kelly
John Kelly is certainly no stranger to the world of trance music, he’s ranked as one of the top 30 djs in the world, has played every major uk club, has an extensive tour schedule having played New York to Las Vegas, South Africa, New Zealand and as far east as Hong Kong. His indefinable maverick blend of tough, driving underground trance has led him to have mixed 5 compilations selling half a million copies worldwide.
Headlining our event John is set to bring us a killer performance!

Goldenscan
This UK trance trio who recently signed with Armada music, are responsible for such anthems as Sunrise, Only With You and Halcyon which has secured them worldwide support from the industries key players. With Tom Goldenscan at the helm they have set the stage alight, playing at UK events from Gatecrasher, The Gallery, Passion and Slinky to name a few, and clocking up air-miles everywhere from Lapland to Ibiza

Nick Rafferty
2006 sees Nick go full steam ahead with the projects he and Paul Kershaw have been working on for last few years. Their brand new label – ‘Future Beats’ will be seeing the release of there biggest track to date ‘We are Connected’. This was supported by Paul Van Dyk for a whole year and has two new mixes from Nick, The Coalition and Scott Mac. In addition to this Nick has been asked to showcase their new material on VONYC Radio, another PVD production!
Epic gives Nick the chance to take you on a more Euphoric journey

Residents
Paul Kershaw
Resident Paul Kershaw has made a huge impact on the trance scene, not only has he secured his own national trance show every Saturday night on Galaxy 105 his incredibly hectic djing schedule has him working 6 days a week playing at the worlds most prestigious events week in week out as well as finding the time to produce and make chart topping success.
Paul never fails to perform with an active style and interprets a crowd in a way that is rarely equaled, knowing exactly where and how to take the night through the roof!!

Caroline Banx
Caroline’s passion lies within the sounds of dance music and psy trance has been at the forefront of her influences. The past year has seen her develop her own unique style; a compelling blend of tough melodic grooves, techno, trance and hard dance making a clubby approach to any dance-floor. This fresh approach has already secured weekly gigs across the UK, but our girl is also set to rack up those air miles with a schedule that includes an ever increasing number of international destinations.

We will also be playing fresh up and coming talent monthly.

Room 2 is host to brand new label Toxik World which has already seen huge success this year and the boys behind the label will be bringing to you a night of dirty underground house music!
Gaz James
Leeroy Burrel

Room 3 Beautiful blissed out beats and balearic chill from Stig.

Our new addition to the Toxic World House room at Epic is Dirty Discos very own MATT COOPER!!

Standing out from the crowd in this day and age is easier said than done, Matt cooper is one of a new breed of DJ that is revolutionising the scene through technical wizardry and pulverising beats. This is the future - Brace yourselves!......
Attempting to define Matt’s sound is like staying dry at Glastonbury – tricky! The music is a combination of tough beats, sublime melodies and throbbing bass all delivered in a tight mix. When everything comes together the music feels alive, like its leaping out of the speakers and tearing straight at you!

Recently saw Caroline Banx, she's a very good DJ but not much of an entertainer, she played for 3 hours and all she did was clap
But then there wern't many ppl at all, 50 at the most.

Good Luck

A new trance night in Brum.. excellent news.

The very best of luck. I've noticed a lot of the people on the godskitchen board moaning about wanting Fri nights back, perhaps you have the opportunity to get some of these people to your night.

It's interesting that a lot of new smaller trance nights seem to be springing up in the UK. Hopefully this means the scene is on the way up!

Cheers Mike
