So I just decided to post a laptop up for sale the other day with a Buy It Now price of $500. Now I doubted anyone would pay that much for this P.O.S. but figured that some dumbass would come along and buy it anyway. And after three hours of being listed. BOOM. Sold. But then I get this email. Something smells fishy eh?

I have a feeling that if I were to reply with my PayPal email address they would spoof an email from PayPal saying I received the money from her haha. Or some BS like that. Yeah so I emailed Ebay, I guess I'll just wait for their response.

for someone named Sharon Williams, her English is pretty awkward, especially stuff regarding money or companies from Lagos, there's a lot of internet fraud that originates or refers to Lagos, the capital of Nigeria... don't do it

lot of people have been scamming ebay scammers like the one who appears to have contacted you.
What they do is fill a box with broken pc parts and old sandwiches and heavy worthless junk and like the scammer said he pays for shipping. You might end up paying like 25 dollars for ups to come pick it up or something but the scammer pays like 150 for shipment to UK or wherever. The scammer ends up never paying you the money for the laptop but you do get to laugh a lot when you get an angry angry email when he opens it lol.
there are others i dont know if i can find the links anymore

That p-p-p-powerbook scammer scam is classic. Apparently there are plenty of stupid people who fall for these scams. I remember seeing something about a 14 year old nigerian scammers who makes millions...
