transferring large files from a pc to a mac, anyone know how?

hey all

Im trying to transfer a 3 gig file from pc over to my mac. I tried burning to it dvd, but the type of dvd i had to burn to accomodate the large file didnt load up on my mac.

I have a lacie drive but it doesnt seem to be compatiable.

I also have an ipod, anyway I can use that?

They are also both connected to an internet router, with no network setup.

Any ideas?

chunk it up with rar to CD sized parts and then recombine it.

Use your ipod.

Plug it into the PC, open windows explorer, drop the file.
Plug into Mac, explore the drive, get the file.

some people think they're deleting files off of their iPod to clear space by deleting them from playlists on the iPod, and not the actual "My iPod" folder.

is it possible that's what you've been doing?

Mac's don't read .rar files that well. Throw it into a .zip, burn it onto a DVD.

Should work fine.
