People can´t stand that their favourite music genre is evolving. At one moment they just stick to a few songs that get them into it and start saying "Todays trance is so boring, generic" etc. Some of them are even so frustrated they have to post all the shit in the threads in here. Sad.

its like the beginning of jay & silent bob.
they learn of that website where all those kids bash their comic characters.
point is if they doing like it, they can do something they do enjoy, but they dont.
they just keep bashing.

I think most of us are genuine fans of trance, but that the bitching is aimed at at just some of the music, and that everone kinda has a differenct sect they like and different sects that they bash here.

The situation on this site is that people bash the stuff alot more openly than they praise and recomend, the praise and recomendation goes through obscure channels and falls out of the front page of MD really fast, so what you are left with is a huge aggregation of every single bashing target, and all those little bashings from different people aimed at different sects of trance add up together to make it look like nobody likes trance at all, when the reality of the situation is that each of us like some of it, and dislike the rest.

Then of course TA is a target for alot of trolls. I think this is caused by 2 things, the DJ top100 poll and the "big boards" ranking, which show trance as the top dj's and trance addict as the biggest EDM messaage board online. I think alot of people get upset at this, thinking their pet genres should be at the top instead, so they all come here and try and bash as much as they can in attempt to bring trance down a peg, to shame people into not liking it.

Personally I dont give a shit how it ranks, I owuld like it still if is wasnt even on these lists.

The irony in your statement is that the Most users ever online was 1220 on Dec-31-2004 at 02:58.............


I barely call this a growing forum when the largest amount of visitors was back in 2004 and of all days on new years eve when you'd guess everyone would be out ... perhaps it proves not many go out to actually enjoy the so called Trance or music or whatever.
