Mixer Decisions..Need Help

Hi all,

Ive been DJ-ing off and on for the past 5 years and am getting back into it. I use 2x1200mkII and have just ordered SSL. I have out grown my vestax pcv 002 mixer, and want to upgrade. Mixing isnt fun with this basic mixer.

I would like a mixer with some built in effects. I would really like to get an NUO 5 or even DJM600, but i will have to wait at least 6 months(or more) to buy one of those.

So i was thinking about getting a numark DXM06. Not too expensive, and has some decent effects. But if i buy this i will eventually want a better one.

So should i just save up for one of the better ones, or go for the DXM06 in the mean time?

any other mixers i should consider?

TIA

Save up...

Nuo5 is a great mixer (according to all reviews I have read), and IMO is alot better than the DJM600..

if you HAVE to HAVE effects. save for the nuo5. the effects are customizable, and atleast ecler has good sound also. they are always compared to rane, and allen and heath when people talk about sound quality.

notice how pioneer is never mentioned to have the sound quality that rane or A&H has. but you will hear the oposite. just go listen to pioneer and a rane back to back. you will immediately understand why people equate pioneer w/junk in terms of sound quality.
