Wireless Wave question.

hey everyone. I bought a motorola razr v3 from wireless wave on a 3 year contract in December 2005. But now i want to cancel my service. can any help me on what to do? i know i'm going to have to pay that penalty fee for breaking contract, but is there anything else i have to do? such as give back the phone or anything?

thx ahead of time everyone.

I doubt there's anything you can do, like giving back your phone. That's how they screw you when buying 3 year contracts. You'll most likely have to buy out the contract. (Which IMO if you're going to do that, you may as well stick with it - but then again I don't know why you're cancelling it).

I've been with Rogers for about 6 years now and my plan has only had minor changes when I renew it, so I knew that I wouldn't want to cancel it change it drastically so I went with a 2 year contract. For new phone owners I wouldn't recommend it unless you're 100% positive you won't change your mind.

Once you're past 30 days / 30 minutes, you're S.O.L.

Your only option is to buy out the contract, which as of December '05 is $200.00 or $20.00 leading up to the end of your contract term, whichever is less.

Any wireless contract is the devil. Buy your own phone, do month-to-month (not pay as you go).

+1

I bought a phone through them a few years back. And the customer service there was SO sketchy. I ended up not having any problems. I had an issue where my phone had to be sent back and they fixed it, and didn't charge me - just like they were supposed to. But I was worried as hell. The people who work there (at least in Windsor) are so unprofessional.

Tell them you are moving out of the country or coverage area. Provide an address as to where you are moving.
