[review] Diggers @ The Showbox, Seattle
Digweed = 1337haXorz.
Tore it up as usual, and thank GOD he didn't play Element!!! You Seattlites probably know what I'm talking about.
It being Sunday, the Showbox wasn't overcrowded like it was the last time I was there when I saw Kleinenberg on a Friday, so that was very nice.
Chloe opened and every track she played was just awesome!!! And her mixing was completely on point. I want her to have my children!!!
Diggers got on at midnight or so, and I was already pretty loaded... Making friends with bartenders is always good! The track he opened with sounded like a proggy remix of a Booka Shade track or something and it was fucking beautiful. I recognized alot of tunes off Transitions but honestly can't ID anything. Except I think he played Big Fun somewhere in the middle of the set! But then again, I was sorta intoxicated so I can't be sure.
Only gripe I had was that he ended at 1:45... I needed more!!!
Luckily one of my buddies acted as DD and drove us back, and then I puked. But not before I grabbed a beer bottle that I had apparently been using as an ash tray and butt depository and took a nice, long swig. So then I had to pound another beer just to get that taste out of my mouth. Woops. BTW, if any of you Cali folk notice Henry Weinhard's Summer Wheat down there, get it! It tastes like Fruit Loops.
Anyhoo, amazing night, amazing choons, amazingly drunk. That about sums it up. Good times!
