The Nou Incident
This is a bit of a long story but i shall cut it down
last night i had reason to suspend nou's account on TA.
As soon as i had done this i got a PM from nou in IRC threatening to talk shit about TA to whomever he could. I responded by telling him if he carried out such a threat i would delete his account, delete all of his posts and do a url ban on his image host.
I copy pasted the admin link to nou to prove i could do it if he persisted.
we talked it out on pm and everything was sorted, Nou took his 2 week suspension with good grace and that was that or so i thought until i got a text message from coup today to say all of nou's posts had gone!
well it looks like i made a fuck up and i will fully admit it, i'm not sure how it happened but i think whilst copy pasting the link to nou i could have clicked the submit button, this was not intentional and at the time of my conversation with nou, his posts and account still existed.
My only guess is that because of the huge amount of posts nou had, it took the server some time to remove them all from the server, it was about 45 minutes that nou and i was talking and like i said, his posts still existed when we had finished and settled the arguement between us.
According to some i stabbed nou in the back, this is not true, if i say something i mean it, i told nou his account and posts would be ok and i meant that.
I don't know if Swamper can restore his posts from a database backup but i will certainly ask him to try.
As for myself, i feel i have let down the members of TA with this mistake and therefore resign my posistion of moderator on TA.
