Formula Sound FSM series mixers

anyone used one? was searching for threads on other forums to decide between the djm 800 and the xone 92, and someone mentioned that the Foruma FSM 400 had some of the best sound available. it also seems to be comparably priced.

one more question...channel 1 seems to be somewhat different from the others. would it be possible to connect 2 decks and 2 cdj's to it at the same time?

used the 600 for years in several venues, as they are not uncommon here in clubs.
My most hated mixer ever.

Feels cheap, sounds terrible, split cue is pants, and on every single one i used (well over 10 of them in different venues) they all had one or more volume dipping or crackling faders.

If you look at the specs they are very very basic. Look shite too. It also has the most retarded position for a power switch ever- just asking for accidental power down (yep- I did it more than once).

Personally i dont think they sound that amazing- they distort very easily. Not a patch on the CLOUD CXM series- another very popular installation mixer, which hands down wanks all over the formula sound.

Of course, I am biased as I hate them, but as with anything go check one out somewhere and see if you like it. I know people who love them.

p.s- im on about the 600- havent used the 400 but looks pretty similar.

thanks for the reply! always nice to hear from people who have actually used the product in question. can you guys think of any other badass sound quality mixers in the 1-2000 range? i'm guessing the Xone 92 still reigns?

well as i said,, i havent used the 400- only the 600, but it just looks like a cut down version, although i remember reading about something to do with funktion one systems and this mixer when it was press released.
Dont dismiss it off hand- you may love it. It is after all only my opinion.
