ive just finished Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell. cracking stuff

The Bridge on the Drina by Ivo Andric. Just finished it myself. Pretty good and pretty depressing.

I am currently reading The Library of America's release of H.P. Lovecraft's Tales. If you are into horror, suspense, the unknown, the occult and the beyond (o.O), you might dig Lovecraft. His short stories are the direct influence for a lot of today's horror movies (Evil Dead, Dagon, Re-Animator, Beyond the Walls of Sleep, etc...) and is surely the inspiration for many of today's horror writers. I'm sure Koontz has borrowed from him before, especially with stories like 'Phantoms'

id also recomend "last exit to brooklyn" by hubert selby its fucked up and killing pablo by mark bowden is decent too

i'm about 80 pages into Chuck Palahniuk's 'Haunted' and it's fuckin' great.
