Personally in trance, Im gonna say Tiesto has contributed the most in terms of bringing trance to more people, holding the biggest events and with a huge catalogue of productions, many of which are classics played throughout the trance scene.
Ironically Tiesto often gets no respect whatsoever which blows away all I've just said.

people like westbam have been contributing to the scene a lot and are respected, sven väth is another one.
