Plaza of Nations RE-OPENS!!!!!

Well the Plaza of nations after almost a year...myabe over, of being banned as a venue is finally being re-opend on february 23rd for another show. Its called 'Wett' and its being put on by Twisted productions. Jon the Dentist, and Ingo are headlining.

Im sure twisteds headliners will show up as they deal with Jon the Dentist all the time and they arnt going to fuck around with the plaza on the line. The city will be watching this party really close and if everything isnt perfect the plaza will be shut down again.

Ok in my own opinion the plaza is by far the best venue in vancouver. Like all my favorite partys have been there over the years, i swear to god ive seen jon the dentist like 4 times there.

dont miss out if you have never been there

I want to go but I totally do NOT trust twisted. Something is almost guaranteed to go wrong be it their fault or not. And after there oversold spooky left a 1000+ people outside. I don't know these twisted people but I really don't think they care to much about the people and music, just money. I don't want to bash people it's not my style but that's my opinion.

I love the Plaza too, but best venue? I hate when the sun comes up and see every body all fucked up. It's just something I don't like to see.

Ya Twisted has been fucking for the last little while but just remember that for close to 3 years solid they were the most reliable company in Vancouver. For 2 years like every twisted party i went to just kicked ass.

People getting left outside is nothing new, and pretty much every time its not the promoters fault. The fire Marshell has the authority to look inside and say "Thats to much" and stop the rest of the people in line from going in. Tahts what happend at Exerts Imix party, and twisted 2001.

Actually at iMix there were counterfeit tix on sale. Hell I even saw some Vietnamese lady with a box of VIP tix for $80. The funny thing was is they were wrist bands and there were no wrist bands at that party. Genesis security didn't give a shit they saw something that looked like a ticket and let people in.

As for Spooky there were no conterfeit tix to speak of. The problem was they sold like 4000 tix but had a guest list of close to 2000. So the fire marshell closed the doors. Capacity is 4700. I heard this straight from PNE security. So in this situation they fucked over people. As for twisted2001, I have no idea there could have been counterfeit tix there. I just don't want to go to a party and worry if I am going to get in or is the headliner going to show. I will not spend money on a twisted event again.

the plaza is sketchy.

its such a nice venue, but the vibe and the sketchy people (non-typical canadian rad kids) that go ruin it. i hate that place.

Ahhhh the age old dilemma: Vibe .VS. Music.

I buy plaza tickets for the music and nothing else. Personaly ill be with a group of like 15 of my closest friends so the vibe will be just fine for us.

Ya know I like the vibe of a small party but I only truly go for the music. In fact I don't see the point of a small party anymore. You'll never see a big name DJ at one, you'll just see the locals that I've seen 100 times. I want to hear new music from the forein DJ's playing promos and other stuff that can't be found around here. Thats why I like the so-called 'massives'. I don't give a shit about 14 year olds, people pukeing, people sitting on the dance floor and other sketchy things going on. Its all about the MUSIC.

man at small partys i get soooooo bored. The last three small partys i went to we got to the venue at like midnight and left at between 4 and 5. I like being able to walk around and no bump into the same people every 30 seconds.

Ya but unfortuatly the big name DJs never come to clubs on weekends only weeknights. It really sucks when you have to wake up at 4:30 to get to work in the morning.
