How to get from Vancouver to Ibiza?
Hey Vancouverites,
I'm hoping some of you are Ibiza veterans and can help me out! I'm looking into the best way to fly to Ibiza from Vancouver next summer so I can have an idea of costs and save accordingly. What was the cheapest way you flew?
I'm thinking book a return British Airways flight from Vancouver to London super early for a better price, then fly from London to Ibiza on an easyjet cheap-o charter flight?
I'm thinking of going at the end of July. Any advice would be helpful!
Bonus question: If you've been to Ibiza, where did you stay and did you like it? San Antonio vs. Ibiza Town? So far I'm leaning towards Ibiza Town.
Cheers,
Treska

Yeah... definitely buy a package deal from London.
I would stay in San Antonio. Last time I stayed at the Royal Plaza hotel in Ibiza town (only 5 star hotel in Ibiza). TBH the people in Ibiza town are really stuck up/snobby etc. Sanantonio is where you will find all the cool party people, they might be a bit rowdy but I would much rather be around people like that as oposed to rich pompous asses. I guess it also depends on which clubs you want to go to as well. Santonio has Eden (pretty much the only club that has trance nights aside from amnesia) and is close to cafe Del Mar and Mambo... definitely cool places to chill. If you plan to be goign to Pacha a lot then stay in Ibiza town.
My only other advice would be to go with the right people, stay in a villa, and rent a car.
Hope that helped

Might as well try hitting Sonar Festival in Barcelona which usually happens around June then go to Ibiza. That's what I am eventually planning on doing. And also booking a reservation for El Bulli restaurant (which needs to be booked 1 year in advance).

Nice!
Thanks 24K-I'll look into villas and I agree, I think we will rent a car so we can explore the island in the day. Good to know about San Antonio too-no rich snobs for me-and I do want to check out Pacha, but in addition to Space, Cream and Amnesia. Hmmm...it is cheaper there too...and Cafe del Mar is there with wicked sunsets! Now I'm leaning towards San An.
Thanks MLB. :P
Loogie-I've heard of Ryan Air. I'll look into them too. Merci!
jussed-You read my mind! My sister and I want to check out Barcelona on our own before meeting up with a few others in Ibiza. May as well hit up another event! El Bulli restaurant eh? I'll check it out.
Thanks again everyone...I can't believe I'm putting myself through the torture of waiting a whole year before going over there.
By the way...Do you think I could get decent flight prices by booking in April or May, so that I can book a week that looks really good after looking at the club schedule on ibizaspotlight.com? Or should I take my chances and book earlier for better prices? Any thoughts/suggestions?

For El Bulli, better book ahead. Rated the world's #1 restaurant by Restaurant Magazine for 2006 and the world's #1 Chef Ferrian Adria. I am going to make a pilgrimage there for their 30 course meal hopefully in the next year and they are only only from April to Sept.
Believe or not, Ibiza would be secondary for this planned trip!
Also don't buy too many tickets in advance to shows and clubs. Go to one or two and you'll be able to blag your way into more events without cover. Just gotta start knowin ppl

I made my way around a bit and ended up flying to ibiza and back from amsterdam for about $80 each way
stayed in san antonio at the florencio and was pretty happy
san antonio is good for bars and for the sunset cafes but its about 90% british people
playa de bossa is many more spanish and italian people and has the better beach parties during the day (bora bora)
ibiza town is older and more central but I didnt spend much time there except when I went to pacha

jussed-Thanks for the drinking tips! :P That restaurant really sounds amazing...I hope you get your chance to wine and dine there next summer for sure. And that wiki....com site is fabulous!
MLB-Hehe...thanks for the great web site. It's crazy how many good discount flight sites are out there!
burtonlinx-Did you get that $850 flight relatively last minute, or did you book it well in advance? What airline was it through? Good to know about the major differences between the three main lodging areas. I haven't read too much about playa de bossa...and when I do come across it on an ibizaspotlight.com forum...it's usually negative? I think I'm still leaning towards San An and being surrounded by those crazy Brits.
Merci Beaucoup all!
