Smoking ..umm..something [Electro Trance] Pacific Mint - Kustomized

I'm really happy about this one. Its an electro-y trancy track influenced by my favorite producers but most notably benassi. I felt like one-upping him

Sounds great, I go for a little different type of genre. But I think that it sounds good.

Mm, funkalicious. The little melody is catchy, and the mix if tranciness on top of an electroclash bassline is a bit weird, though it might sound less weird after more listens. I'd also like to see a wee bit more variation when the main melody comes back around for the second time. It starts to get a little tiring by the 4:30 mark after only a minimal amount of elements are introduced and follow the same pattern. Throw in some breaks before the main melody kicks back in, or mess around a bit with the melody itself. Make the track more 3-dimensional. I'd definitely like a copy of this once it's done and in good quality, it'd be fun to play out and experiment with.

Don't really like that lead at 1:15. Sounds preset-ish.

So does most of the track, but in other instances it seems to fit the 'genre'.

When the track picks up again at 1:45 or so, it sounds a bit empty. You should either expand on the element you have now and make it fatter and make it take more importance, or add something on top, like a gated pad or saw.

I think I see what you were trying to achieve with the bennassi-like bass. I think that too needs to be fatter. Like in bennassi tracks, it sounds good because it feels like the instrument is really overpowering the whole mix and drowning everything else. In this track though, it just feels very thin.

Thumbs up

A bit low BPM for my taste but it's well made, the trance element is a nice touch.

Hey. Decent groove in this one. The ducking is a little bit high in my opinion but the rythms are good and the instrument choices are pretty good when they all come together. I like songs with detail and much more could be added to this song still, but thats me . Overall this is a pretty decent song. Strengthen the sounds up a bit with some more narrowing filters and tighter sounds (EQing) and itll be great.

Cheers,
Zac

The kick is weak and the volume of it wobbles.
A track like this needs to have a massive bass, but it sounds quite thin. The whole mix sounds quiet, run it through a limiter/maximizer to get more punch. Synths sound a little cheap.
I like the melody and groove of the track.
