I could say the same thing about CNN - or any other news agency for that matter. It just depends on which side of the political spectrum you are on.
I just want unbiased news. That will never happen. Everyone has an agenda these days. |
First of all - Unbiased news can happen, that's npr (although bushie apt'd one of his own to the head of the cpb, pbs is doing a good job of making sure their news stayed FAIR and BALANCED (fo real fair and balanced, not faux fair an balanced)...they do a great job of covering stories in depth and with multiple perspectives...
Second of all - You can't really "say the same thing about CNN." While I agree that CNN doesn't do the world's happenings justice, there is no freaking way that CNN is as partisan as Fox news is. This is particularly true when Fox claims to be news that is "fair and balanced" which is a STRAIGHT UP LIE to the face of the viewers. I feel sorry for the poor souls who watch Fox news and really believe the shit they are hearing is "true" and "fair"....they are being fed a huge stinky mound of horse shit. While CNN is critical of the status quo (which they should be and have a right to be) that does not make them partisan. It is not partisan to say Iraq did not have WMDs. It is not partisan to say Bush will use his first veto on Federal Stem cell funding which will put us behind in finding cures for certain diseases. Just because CNN tells stories that do not make the administration look favorable does not make them partisan, it makes them legit for telling stories that others (who are partisan) like FOX hide or distort to the public to make the administration more favorable. For instance - Bill O, Hannity, these types - they are editorialists - they are flat out propagandists and lyers - there is none of that nonsense on CNN. So, I agree...CNN is not the best, but do not mistake it, they are not freaking partisan as far as partisanship is concerned. Don't blame the channel for attempting to spit truth in the face of lies and fabrications of the truth. You know...right after Bush was re-elected Fox started airing stories about Hillary, bad mouthing her, talking about how she is a "Liberal" (Whatever the fuck that means--and why is that bad? Because we care for people?) and beginning a pre-emptive strike on her campaign. That is partisan. Without fox lying to the faces of America, we might have more people in this nation get off of their knees and take the Bush Administrations dick out of their mouths.
listen to npr
clearly this is all imo
