I think that the instrument balance is pretty good, but you need to work on the arrangement. That's probably the hardest part, since nowdays you can already buy awesome patches for your synths, but when it comes to arranging you gotta do it yourself.
All in all, good start, but does not sound like a finished product.

Yeah - I'm 3/4's of the way there.
The only probs with my melody is that it's arping a few basic notes and if i change the instrument then the melody changes if you know what I mean.
