Re: G0d Has Spoken!

Sucks to be him (as is Ferry Corsten, Tiesto, and pretty much most DJs on the international circuit).. like if they were to drop a deep house track, the crowd most likely wouldn't take it, even if it was really good... just that those guys are paid to put on a show..
one of the reasons why DJ culture aint that great.

maybe I'm reading it wrong.. but I don't see any criticism in his post. I thought he was agreeing with you. I think he actually has a decent point - DJ's are by their intrinsic nature servants to the audience the're entertaining. A DJ's job is to give the people what they want. If they want something intelligent and original, that's what you play. If they want Britney Spears, it's your job to give it to them.. that's why they paid money to come and see you. I think PVD is a master at this and is one of the few who has it right. He's always said that large part of a DJ's job is to read the audience and spin accordingly.

Just a thought...

i dont think that's right, ferry corsten and tiesto started playing trance and thats why people like them, tiesto has experimented some times, listen to his essential mix, sounds more progressive and looks liek he takes chances and he hasnt lost any popularity, i see them cause i like what they play.
