no trust me, bush's plan was to and remains to be to secure a steady oil supply, establish a permanent military presence in the region and to systematically neuter the entire middle east for israel. it's just too bad his entire administration is so brazenly incompetent and tactless at carrying it out...

I really dont understand what Israel is trying to accomplish. It makes zero sense. Its like they took a stupid pill.

In the past they would have just done stuff covertly. And yes yes I know it was an act of war. But think 2 steps ahead it makes zero sense.

They cant get rid of Hizbollah without reoccupying S. Lebannon. That didnt work out so well last time. Even if they do reoccupy it they have a bloody occuptation that goes on years. Only to have to leave at somepoint.

Its really weird. I think they are trying to cut down the US's ability to work out a deal with Iran but thats just my 2 cents. Otherwise this makes no sense.
